Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) consist of multi-disciplinary team members who are grouped together for the delivery of certain products and processes. IPTs are usually established in large programs and have a specific objective where teams from the technical teams, user communities, management, vendors, etc. all come together for a specific business purpose such as validation testing, performing specific software maintenance activities, system deployments, etc.
