Verification and validation are part of the quality assurance processes in a typical project. Verification occurs at almost every stage of the product that ensures that each unit deliverable meets specified quality criteria. Validation, on the other hand, checks the final product and ensures that the customer requirements are met. Validation, therefore, tests the final product, whereas verification is a granular activity checking the quality at lower levels.
